A TRAGEDY . BERLIN, March 23. A remark aMo charabanc accidentresulted in eight persons being killed and thirtv-nne injured, in the hilly district of Lower Silesia. A charabanc carrying sixty-eight passengers was ascending a steep grade when the drawing chain snapped and the rehicle ran backwards at a terrific speed, crashed through a bridge and overturned in a rushing torrent. Thirtv-eight persons were buried underneath in the water and some were crushed to death and others drowned. The driver has not been seen and is believed to have escaped across the neighbouring Czecho-Slovakian border.
