I’u connection with the railway excursion from Christchurch to Hokitika on Saturday next the Hokitika Bowling Club is arranging a six rink team to meet four rinks from the Linwood Club and two rinks skipped respectively by Messrs Bascand and Gallon. It is being arranged that play shall commence as soon after the arrival of the train, as possible, so that all local players should bo on the green at 2 p.nii., so that the games will he concluded in time to allow of the visitors having some time- to look round tho town before the train leaves again on the homeward journey. In connection with the visit lady supporters of the Club are arranging for afternoon tea, and as there will be many friends with the _ visiting howlers there will ho a good big famil\ to attend to, and all assistance possible will' he appreciated. \ll playing members will be required for plnv on Saturday and any member unable' to take part is requested to advise the Secretary as soon as possible.
