THE MORAL OF TXVEXTTOX. ‘•lt is already a commonplace thht all parts of the globe have become interdependent owing to the complexity of the world's economic life. There is no unsettlement in the East that does not adversely react upon the W est. There is no disturbance or uncertainty iti the West that is not felt as a loss or an inconvenience in the East. The effect of new Imperial air routes and of long-distance ocean-traversing public telephonic services can only be to increase that interdependence. Each will knit more closely the every-day interests and affairs of the communities who are thus brought into more immediate touch. Every nfew invention or extension, therefore, makes more urgent the need for a balanced and sanely organised social life, both as between nations and as between individual members of each community.’ I —Yorkshire Post.”
