A settlement, of the trouble at (Mailland .Mines where ten thousand men ■are idle in comiection with the readjustment of duties and deputies is not completed yet. The men announce their willingness to resume to-morrow. The owners replied that the pits will not he open till they considered the position understood and hold a meeting to-morrow whereafter an early resumption is expected. OBITUARY. MELBOURNE, March 21. Obituary.- J. D. Denny, Nationalist member of the Legislative Assembly, aged forty-nine.
