HOKITIKA GUN CLUB
The annual meeting of the Hokitika Gun Club was held at Keller’s Sample Booms on Wednesday night. Mr ('. .T. King presided and a good attendance of members wore present. The annual report and balance sheet was rend and adopted. A credit balance was shown of .£1(1 12s 9d, assets: one trap and l ease ammunition. Correspondence in reference to this Club alfilinting with the New Zealand Gun Club was read. On discussion it was finally decided that the club affiliate with the New Zealand Gun (Tub without delay. i Air S. \Y. Ford, who lias been tin* Secretary since the formation of the Chili, tendered his resignation, owing to the fact that he will he leaving New Zealand in the near future. Mr C. J. King was elected Secretary and Treasurer. A hearty vote of thank was accorded tn Air Ford, the retiring Secretary, for* the able manner in which he had conducted the affairs of the Club since its inception. Mr Ford hrieily replied, thanking the members for their remarks. Air Isaac'Brown was elected President for the ensuing year. Executive Committee.—Alessrs 1. Broun. .]. .1. Mclntosh, and C. J. King. It was decided to have two shoots per month. The Secretory was instructed to draw U]) the dates of the shoots, and supply each member with the fixtures. Subscription for the 1027-28 year was fixed at 10s per member. The financial year to end in February of each year. The Secretary was instructed to secure a barrel of clays for the next shoot, which will he held on March 271 hat 2.H0 p.m. It was also decided to accept the Invitation to shoot at Kokatahi on Good Friday.
A vote of thanks to the chair tor minuted a successful meeting.
