WATAROA AUTUMN SALE
Messrs M. Houston and Co report— There was a splendid yarding of sheep and cattle from South Westland at the autumn sale held at the above yards yesterday, our entry consisting of 97 liead of grown cattle. The cattle from the far south came forward in excellent condition, and as there was a representative attendance <>t buyers present from all parts of the district, competition was good, and a total clearance was made at very satisfactory prices. We sold as follows: On account of Sullivan Bros.. 1 bullock at €lO 7s 6d. On account of Jno. Mcßride, 11 two and a-lialf year steers at £0 17s (Id. On account of R. Ritchie 11 three and four year bullocks at £lO. 11 forward heifers and cows at £3 10s. On account of Nolan Bros. 12 forward 2( to 3 year steers at £8 os, 9 at £B. 5 fat heifers at £7 15s; on account of G. R .'Wilson 1 fat cow Tit £7 ss; on account of Harris Bros. 10 2 year steers at £5 10s, 6 heifers at £4; on account of Jas. Friend 6 2V year steers at £6 17s 6d, 1 stag at £4. 1 fat heifer at £6 12s Cd; on account of J. IV. H. Chinn 6 18 months steers at £5, 3 at £3 lQs,
