AMUSEMENTS.

■i-. i 1 EVERYBODYS’ PICTURES JOIIHNY lIINES—TO-NIGHT. You can always bo certain of one thing when you see the comedian Johnny Hines’ name associated with a motion picture. Thrills, thrills, and more thrills! Although his features are always of the hilarious description, Hines never fails to impart some daredevil episodes which leaves audiences gasping for breath. Ilis latest picture “ Rainbow Riley.” affords even a greater array of thrills than are provided in real melo-drama. In one scene, the inimitable star is seen dangling on a frail looking rope above the gaping jaws of a ravine, hundreds of feet deep. That is only one of the ‘‘Rainbow Riley” thrills, but is in itself sufficient to prove that hero is a man absolutely without even a suspicion of “nerve.” In this big comedy production, Johnny gets the laughs just when you expect a tragedy, so unconcerned are nis antics, ft is probably bis ability to turn drama into hilarity at a second’s notice—under amazing circumstances —that has made him the popular favourite he is. Viewed as a thriller, this big comedy would on that score alone provide a feast of entertainment, but “ Rainbow Riley,” replete as it is with laughter, love and “action,” is calculated to find high favour with all classes. The picture will be screened to-night at the Princess Theatre, with Brenda Bond, latestscreen “ find ” as Hines' leading lady. A topical, scenic and comedy will complete the display to-night. On Wednesday a special Metro-Gold-wvn, starring Marion Davis, in “ Beverley of Graustark,” will be presented.
