AMUSEMENTS.

EVERYBODYS’ PICTURES

TOM MIX AND TONY TO-XIGIIT. Tom Mix and liis horse, Tony, provide one thrill after another in “ My Own I’iil.” the latest Fox Films- production in which AI i x is starred. This thrilling photoplay opens at the Princess Yneatre to-night. Although the picture starts off in a leisurely enough manner, it is only a question of seconds before Mix runs into a fight with the owner of a travelling show, who is mistreating a little girl. A thrilling leap to the platform of a moving train, after Mix has ridden away with the child, with the circus men hot on his heels, starts the notion. While waiting for this scene Mix stood stroking Tony.

“ Tony is considered one of the most perfect horses in the world to-day—-and one of the most intelligent, for Tony is not and has never been what the world knows as a ‘ trick horse.’ He is a shining example of where the phrase ‘ horse sense ’ canto from, to my mind, for he responds to direction as easily and quickly as a seasoned player—and as long as I’ve been in pictures with him I’ve never known him to make a mistake in his interpretations. I only have to lead him in, explain the situation to him—and let it go at that. I know that when the cameras start clicking Tony will do just what is expected of him. ITc’s a vain old fellow, though,” .Mr Mix finished, rubbing the sensitive nose of his pal, and really, after he had been starred in his own right in ‘ JustTony,’ lie was the most temperamental actor on the whole Fox lot.” Lovely Olive T’orden, and little Virginia Marshall arc included in the supporting east. Coming Thursday: “ What a AVife Learned.”
