CWM DISASTER. LONDON, March 5. A further twelve bodies have been recovered at the Cwm Colliery. The inquest whs opened, but was adjourned. Tlie Coroner paid a tribute to the heroism of the rescue parties. Mr Tom Edwards, the veteran Secretary of the South Wales Miners’ Federation. has expressed thanks for the opening of the relief fund, and also to Mr Baldwin and his wife. He said: “There Was been an incident in connection with Mi- Baldwin’s visit. 1 would be cowardly to overlook it. It must be .remembered that this great catastrophe has overtaken us at. a time when the miners, whether justified or otherwise, are sore in their souls, believing that harsher conditions than there ought to be have been imposed. The little ebullition of feeing 'at a time of this kind must not bo magnified. The great body of the miners in Wales feel grateful to the Prime Minister for coming and expressing his personal sympathy.
