[Australian & N T .Z. Cable Association.] LONDON. March o. Phil Scott beat Diener at Berlin. The Daily Express Berlin correspondent says that in defeating Diener, Scott fought the light of his life. It was, on the whole, a clean light, although Scott was warned twice for using the rabbit punch, and Diener was cautioned for using a kidney blow, which brought Scott down. The crowd rose in anticipation of their counlrymau's victory, but Scott rose, pulled himself together and punched Diener all over the ring.
The decision was not questioned. The crowd acclaimed the victor, and they vigorously roared when they saw Scott capering in the ring like a schoolboy with the customary laurel wreath conferred on the victor.
