At a meeting to-day. the Now Zealand Cricket Council considered the advice front Badcock of bis inability to make the trip to England with the New Zealand team, ft was decided to ask the selectors to choose a player to (ill tln> vacancy immediately, and, for this purpose, the selectors vill meet at Christchurch to-morrow. Acting on the advice of Trumhle and Armstrong, it- lias been decided to adhere to the original arrangement to take fourteen men.
