TAKAANE. March 2. The night passed uuietlv, steady rain keeping all in the Royal camp close in doors. The Duke and Duchess returned from the dav’s fishing al about: 7 o'clock, the Duke’s tally for the day being five far .sized fish. The party were early abed and early astir this morning. The Duke wont down stream a little alter six and the Duchess followed an hour and a—half later. The Duke's luck wlis mil Imt her Royal Highness booked a trout after half an hour's fishing and about ten minutes plav sufficed to bring'the fish to gaff. The Duchess was photographed with her catch. She was highly elated with Iter success ami the news of it caused much satisfaction in the camp. Their Highnesses returned at 10 o'clock for breakfast.. Tile weather which in the early morning had been drizzling thickly, had cleared, with not n breath of wind stirring and though heavy clouds overhung the locality it is expected the sun will presently come out. Their Highnesses will probably make another trip to the fishing pool. The Duchess’ catch scaled between six and seven pounds-
