THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES
The I.ot Ok Tiie Farmer.
The country looks to the farmer as the mainstay of our prosperity. But the farmer, on his part, has ample justification for looking to the eotrntrv for practical co-operation. As things are at present lie is struggling along under heavy handicap. His living and production costs arc much too high in proportion to his earnings. It is till very well to urge the necessity for greater production from the farming industries, but unless there is a corresponding effort on the part of the rest of the community, farming will not Ik> worth while. —Hie Dominion.
