SWIMMING.
The Hokitika District High School swimming sports were held in the local baths yesterday afternoon. The meeting was highly successful and the races keenly contested. Thanks are due to tlie Hokitika Swimming Club for the use of the baths, to Messrs Lynn (starter) and Tomlinson (time-keeper), who kindly gave their services, and to the Caretaker of the Jinths, who gave every possible assistance towards the success of the sports. There was a good attendance of parents and friends who were keenly interested in Lhc racing. The following are the results:— Boys’ Championship (under 11) 50yds. —J. Stnveley 1, L. Csdormnn 2, V,'».
