The Lang Government sustained Another defeat in the Legislative Council to-night, when the Government compromise in the Electoral Amendment Bill to the effect that if the elect oral boundaries commission did not see fit to grant three more country seats, its findings would not he accepted, was rejected by 34 to 21. The Australian 'Labour Party Executive has issued a manifesto to Labour lenders and Councils explaining why Red rules should he rejected hy tlie party. It states there has been a plot by Communisms to secure control of tbe party and despite the warnings issued from time to time, the deadly grip of Communism is gradually becoming tighter and tighter on the Labour movement. The plotters have been at work for the past four years and if certain members of the Labour Party have their way. the last act will be staged in June at the annual conference of the Labour Party, and the curtain will fall with the Communists members and emissaries in full control of the party and safely entrenched behind a set of rules which will allow no escape from their deadly grip.
