Hillman, bound for San Francisco from London was driven ashore at Sail Nicholas Island. hut finally succeeded in getting off the rocks. At New Orleans tornadoes swept sections of Lousianan, Mississippi and killed at least- tliirtythreo. injured scores and left a trail of damage.
