SWIMMING CARNIVAL

ANOTHER GREAT SUCCESS. The third swimming carnival in the focal baths took place last evening and proved a great success. The night was fine and warm and this was appreciated by spectators and swimmers alike. There was a very large attendance, over Cl>g being taken in shillings an l sixpences. The Municipal' Rand played a number of selections prior to the sports, which commenced promplK- and were run off very smartly, there not being a dull moment. There were many novel items, and much fun was caused. (n any brief interval, tae bath was filled with the young people diving and swimming, making a vers attractive picture. Mr if.
