GALA DAY, WEDNESDAY
Entries are still coming to hand for tile Gala Day on Cass Square, on W ednesday, and bite entries may he left with Aliss Thompson or at the County Office A start is to be made to-morrow afternoon to prepare tile grounds for the field events. A special feature will In* the Old English Folk Dancing by the senior Girl Guides which will be a very pleasing spectacle.
At night ill the Soldiers’ Hall there will be an elocutionary competition and spelling bee. together with a vocal and instrumental concert. Several ladies are assisting with the concert items. The Rev. G. Knowles-,Smith Will aidjudidate on the recitations, many of which are lines by Bttdyard Kipling. Air Partridge will bo in charge of the spelling bee—quite a novel event hero. Altogether there is a very attractive, programme promised, and a very interesting and instructive evening's entertainment will result.
