ADOINCTON STOCK SALES. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs 11. Matson and Co. report as follows tjgarding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday:There was a very large yarding and it comprised a large proportion of lambs, also several North Island and Chatham consignments. The quality was generally very irregular and in face of the weather conditions the market was easier all round. Best rape lambs, IDs to 20s 6d, medium los Oil to 18s Cd, others to 11s 6d. Best half-bred wethers, lambs ISs to 20s lid. medium, Ids to 17s Gd. others to 12s Oil. Three-quarter bred ewe lambs to 22s ,'ld.

Not many wethers were yarded, hut they sold well. Ewes comprised a large proportion of shipped and travelled sheen. Anv good sold really well, hut on the other jliand they were inferior in quality. Backward and tra-velled-stained ewes, especially towards the end of the sale, were much easier, and a sale was hard to make. Best 2tooth Romney cross ewes 29s 6d to .*sls, medium 21s to 28s. Best s.m. cross-bred ewes 18s Oil to 225, extra to 26 .medium Ms to 17s. Rape ewes and inferior sorts Is (Id to, 12s. One line of J-tooth three-quartcr-bred ewes made 28s. Cattle ■--The sale was much easier, as there was a very small yarding in this department, consequently all classes of cattle sold well at recent prices. No quotable lines were offered, and there was a similar sized yarding to last week, and the market, if anything, was of a slightly firmer quality, but verv irregular.

Store ni"s —A comparatively small yarding, :uhl the demand was hardly as keen. AYeanors 13s to 10s, best to 235. si ins to 20s fid, stores 30s to 53s fid.

There was a fair yarding: and a larger proportion of wethers than usual. The quality was very irregular hut there was a linn sale throughout. Ewes perhaps were slightly cheaper, hut anyway all classes were well above schedule.

Prime wethers 20s fid to 2Ss fid. extrato 31s 7d. medium 2-ls fid to 2fis. others to 225.

Prime ewes 17s fid lo 225. extra 25s Id, medium 11s fid to 17s. others 11s. There was a larger entry and included several AA'est Coast consignments, which generally speaking, were very plain. The market was firm and exporters wore o])erating freely at the price. In our opinion, they were well up to and in. many eases above schedule. Any AA’est Coast vendors would he well advised to try the Addington market with iambs or sheep.
