ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE. W. JEFFRIES AND CO.’S REPORT. 'file entry of fat stock at Monday’s Aralmra market consisted of 11-4 sheep and lambs and 55 head of cattle. The attendance of buyers was not as large as usual nor was competition equal to the previous sale. Owing to the pronounced drop in beef prices at Addington the local market is in sympathy therewith receded considerably. Oxbeef yesterday did not exceed 67s per hundred while heifer beef ranged from 62s to 34s and good cows were hard to quit round about 25s per hundred. As usual there was a preponderance of the latter beef yardcr and it was extremely difficult to quit them, some pens being passed. Sheep sold well.
We sold as follows:—On account Mr J. Diedrich 2 bullocks at £ll 10s 2 at £l2 10s. 2 at £lO ss. 2 at £9 17s 6d, 1 at £3 2s Gd. 4 heifers at £6 17s Gd, 2 at £6. 2 at £5 17s Gd : on account of Messrs O’Neill Bros 3 runners at £. 1 at £3 19s. ! at £3 10s, 1 at £3 9s, 2 at £3 ss, 3 at £2 15s Gd ; on account of Messrs Perry and Co 2 bullocks at l£ll. T at £lO, 2 at £9 17s Gd. 2 at £9 12s Gd. 4 at £9 2s Gd. 2 at £8 15s, 2 at £B,; on account of Air D. J. Diedrich G cows at £B, 4 at £7 ss, 13 wether at 30s, 11 lambs at 20s; on account of Messrs Harris Bros 38 ewes at 26s 3d. 24 -wethers at 245. 28 at 225; on account of a Client 1 fat cow at £7 10s.
