ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE.
M. HOUSTON AND CO.’S REPORT
At the usual fortnightly sale yesterday our entry comprised 82 sheep and lambs and 40 head of fat cattle, the hulk of which consisted of cows and coalers. Competition was not, so keen as at the previous sale and prices realised were much easier, although in our opinion they were equal if not better than those ruling at Addington. A fair proportion of our yarding was passed in owing to vendors not being prepared to accept the ruling prices. Vo sold as follows:—On account of J. Starkey,9 store wethers at 15s 3d. 33 small ewes and 38 lambs (all counted) at 15s Cd, 1 rani at 21s, 1 at 265; on account of a client 34 breeding ewes at 28s 6d; on account of T. Staines 3 fat cows at £6; on account of O’Neil and Reid 2 lieifers at £6 17s 6d. 1 cows at £6 15s. 2 at £7 5s 1 heifer at £lO 10s. 1 runner at £5 7s 6d, 1 at £2 18s 6d. 2 at £2 ss, 3 at £2. 1 bullock at £ll.
