Norton, Lott, King. Of the women players the first five arc: Mrs Mallory, -Misses Ryan, Goss, Bayard and Mrs Chapin. The dates arc:—National Singles, September 12th at New York. Davis Cup challenge, Bth. 9th and 10th September, at Philadelphia. Doubles, August 29th at Boston. The President of the Association. Mr Merseran. said: “Neither financially nor from the point of view ol the public interest, has professional tennis 1 ie*(* ll a success in proportion to the time ami expense involved. Your officers have re fit soil to be stampeded by this diversion from the amateur game.
