EXPRESS TRAIN TURTLE. LONDON. December 0. While rou ml ill" a curve in TrefTgarnc Valley, near Fishguard, Pembrokeshire, yesterday, the Paddington to Fishguard express struck a large fall of lock and timber. The train was travelling at ;>0 miles j an hour when Fireman Davis observed the obstruction. Before he could tell the driver the train had hit the rock. The express was brought to a standstill almost within its own length and an immediate examination was made both of the engine and the coaches, the j train being delayed almost an hour, j It was found that the cow-ratchet | whidi had thrown the obstruction ! aside was Ivokcn off and that two glass ' panels of the first conch, which was j used ns a parcels coach, were broken. ■ .After the inspection the express went on to Fishguard Harbour. The passengers were alarmed, but none received injuries.
