BILL C’ODY—TO-NIGHT. This (Saturday) evening at the Town Hall Bill Cody will appear in "Shooting Straight;.” The story in brief shows that bad health compels John Gordon, a rich man, to decide on leaving his Chicago home and returning to liis “Praire" Home Bauch.” Before his departure Gordon makes Ibis will and entrusts it to his ward. Mary Alton. This. of course. interests Hampton, Gordon’s Secretary. Meanwhile. on the ranch. Jack Gordon (played by Bill Cody) is having real enjoyment out of life plus fun with Spike, the foreman. When Jack received a telegram about his Dad’s decision lie quickly prepares to meet him. Jack's happiness is of short duration for his dad is seriously hurt in a runaway accident. That night someone steals the bag containing the will. The disappearance of the will plus cattle being stolen cause Jack to get into action. First he decides that his wedding to Mary must take place a once and the rustlers will then he attended to. At a Hallowe'en Party the wedding is pleasantly waited for by the guests and the couple—but Jack receives a message from Spike that the rustlers are on the job so .Tacit asks to he excused for a while. Soon after Spike tells Mary that Jack has been hurt and is in Spikes’ shack. Mary rushes there only to find it has been a ruse and she faces Hampton who tells her his business is to delay the wedding so that he can get a share of tlie fortune left by Gordon. Returning to tlie party Jack learns what has happened—so Spike comes ill for a trouncing. However, by one of Fate’s wise tricks, Jack and Mary are in time to marry and get the fortune besides. The second episode of "The Purple Rider"’ serial will also ho shown. Monday—“ The Kingdom Within.”
