ANOTHER N.S.W TRAGEDY

AYIDOAY SHOT DEAD. [by TICf.KGIUPH—I’IOIt Pit ESS ASSOCIATION.] SYDNEY. Feb. 2. A tragedy occurred at a bouse ill AYoolstoneraft to-day, when Airs Paul the widow of Doctor Paul, was fatally shot, and a man, Rene A’amlervelde, a Dutchman, was seriously wounded. According to the story of Airs Paul’s maid, A'aiulervolde was a dose friend of Mrs Paul’s tor years, lie visited her this morning, and a quarrel ensued. A andervelde produced a revolver while the maid was iu the room and he ordered her to leave. Airs Paul, however. begged her not to do so. Suddenly the maid heard a shot and she saw Airs Paul fall hack into a chair.

I he maid then summoned the police, Alennwhilo she heard two furtlier shots. The police on their arrival, found Alls Paul dead sin* having been shot in the light side and in the neck. Powder stains indicated that she was shot at point blank range. In another room. Vnnderveldo. with a bullet wound in his bead, lay on a couch with a bottle containing liquid resembling poison beside him and also a revolver. He was conscious, but bp would not speak. He was sent to the Hospital in a serious condition. SYDNEY. Feh. 3. A amlervelde. cabled earlier, has succumbed.
