The nosition of the Northiiinheiland is much inmroved, and the pumping work has heen reduced to-day. t The operatinns on board are now being devoted to'getting the ship ill readiness to steam to another port, hut to which port is not yet known. The vessel is now floating in a much improved position, due largely to the patching of the hull,, and the pumping work in No. 2 hold. The sea. still remains calm. From present indications it appears as if no further lightening of the cargo will he necessary.
