N.S.W. V. VICTORIA. [Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.] SYDNEY, January 27. The Sheffield Shield match, New South Wales against Victoria, was continued in showery weather. New South Wales’ first innings closed for 469, Kippax being not out 217. In the bowling. Morton took 2 for 129. Blackie 2 for 120, and Mnllett 2 for 45. Victoria bad lost two wickets for 10 mils at the drawing of stumps. The start was delayed owing to the state of the wicket. The foothold for the howlers was precarious. ’Kippax played carefully till he reached the second century. This is his fourth double century against Victoria. Victoria opened badly, losing two wickets for sixteen, when their appeal against the had light was upheld. Hendry is out. He made seven. MELBOURNE. January 27. A cricket match between Victoria and Tasmania ended in a victory for Victoria by an innings and seventyeight runs. Tasmania scoring 252 and 222 in successive strikes.
