The annual conference of New Zealand Sanitary Inspectors Association opened at the Town Hall this morning, Mr If. P.uill (President) presiding. The annual report showed a membership of 1-18. Further consideration would he given this conference to the question ot training, education, registyition and examination of inspectors and a scheme would he adopted and put into operation in the near future bringing the status of the profession to a higher standard. A youth, aged seventeen, admitted in the Police Court that he improperly converted to his own use two cars and two motor trucks of the total value of £435; also theft of an article of the value of CIO. Two of tiie vehicles were damaged. Mr Hunt, S.M. sent accused to Borstal for three years and ordered the suppression of the hoy’s name, not so much for the sake of the boy who would probably like to see his name in print, as for the sake of his father.
