TRUTH FROAf AIORCOAV. RIGA, Dee. 2
The London correspondent of the Tass (Telegraph Agency) committed a serious blunder on Monday when in one of his despatches to Afoscow he said that the “renegade bourgeoise” livtders of English labour were sabotaging the coal stoppage by forcing the miners to return to work at 7s per day. According to the Tass report 7s \ equals 3 roubles 50 kopeks and such a salary in Russia, in the mining or other trades, would mean unheard-of wealth.
The despatch passed the Afoscow censor, hut later he sent urgent telegrams to all the newspapers ordering CHiieellation of the figures. The message. however, had already been printed in many papers, and workers who have been forced to contribute for the past six months for the benefit of British miners have now learned tint their brethren are earning what are to them plutocratic incomes.
