HOKITIKA v. BIN WOOD. Two rinks from the Lin.wood Club, Christchurch, who are with a travelling party of thirteen, ladies and gentlemen arrived in Hokitika yesterday afternoon and played two rinks at ;5..‘10 o’clock. The green rolled out well in .spite of the rain of the previous night. Afternoon tea was provided and the conditions were very pleasant in warm •sunshine as the game proceeded. The result was a win for Hokitika by 6 points, each side winning one game. During the tea interval. Mr If. A. Thompson extended a- welcome to the visitors. Messrs Allen and Sprosen replied expressing pleasure at the reception, the condition of the green, and the hospitality of the Indies. Benefield will have to heat him twice to win the championship. THE PAIRS. The programme for to-morrow is that Benefield will pipy Pilkington in the second round of the pairs competition in the morning, and will play Stewart in the rinks final in the afternoon.
