VISITING LIN WOOD TEAM

A visiting party from the I.inwood Bowling Club are playing the Greymonth Cluli Oil AVednosd.iy morning at 9.30 and then come on to Hokitika immediately after lunch, playing a two rink team on the Hokitika, green at 2.30 p.m. The following two rinks have been selected to represent Hokitika :

J. J. Breeze, Moore, Thompson and Howard (s). J. King, B. Thiem. Braddon, and J. AY. Hayward (s).

The visitors comprise a party of five ladies and eight gentlemen. Afternoon tea will lie provided and lady members of the Club are requested to assist. A general invitation is extended to visitors to attend and witness the play.

The Dominion Bowling Singles (six survivors) and rinks (thirty left in eight being two-lifers and twenty-two one-lifers) will bo resinned on Wednesday. The pairs championship commenced this morning in good weather on If) clubs’ greens. Five games of ‘2l heads each will be undertaken and the green winners will go forward to post section play on sudden death principle (21 heads or 2f hours’ play). Three rounds of the New Zealand Bowling pairs championship were played to-day in dull lint fine weather. The entries total two hundred and thirtytwo. The pairs are divided into thirty sections, two playing on each green.
