N.Z. LEAGUE TEAM. LONDON, January 15. The New Zealand League footballers’ tour has resulted in a loss of £7OO. The team’s management lias issued a statement in which it blames the malcontents for the trouble, and at the same time protests against the English Rugby League’s action in sympathising wftli the revellers, and in giving them a bonus of CIO each prior to their departure. Arising from an incident in the Franco-1 rish mulch in which Scott, tho Scottish referee, was assaulted, the Scottish Union decided to cease sending .Scottish referees to matches organised by the French Federation. If their attitude is maintained it will jeopardise future Lranco-Irish fixtures. The Irish demand a Scotsman for referee in Paris.
