At the Town Hall to-night Selzniek Pictures present Pete Morrison (Cyclone p t> te) in “ Pot-Luck Pards,” an action comedv-drama of western chivalry and cowboy frailty. You could also almost any kind of a game at “Flush’s” place in town. Gil Holman gambled there often and had, at last, signed his father’s name to a cheque to pay his losses. “Flush” Dyer comes to the ranch and threatens Gil with exposure unless he makes good the forged cheque. Gil is broke and begs for time. Shortly after “Flush loaves, “ Wind River” breaks out again, and everybody hunts cover until the hist shot in his gun has been fired. Gil. already in an ugly humour, discharges the drunken cowhand and knocks him down with a punch. As lie is to administer a kick, Chick interferes and trips-up Gil. Now wild with raoe Gil also fires Chick. During the struggle with “ Flush,” Chick gains possession of the forged cheek, which lie privately presents to Gil. When the sheriff arrives. Chick strikes a
bargain and trades prisoners, turning over “Flush” and his man for Mary a„d her Uncle and Aunt. Gil and the boys get busy with the neglected ranch work, while the oik folks rest after the recent excitement. Chick shows Mary about the place and explains how he expects, some day soot, to have as good a ranch. Mary thinks she would like the life on the range, and there is no doubt but that Chick will work out some plan to have her and her relatives settle down hi that part of Hie country. The supports include a scenic “ The Valley of 100 Peaks” and a two-reel ffallroom Boys’ comedy, a real thriller.
