[Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.] SWARMS OF BLUEBOTTLES. SYDNEY. January 17. Swarms of bluebottles invaded tbc surfing beach at Bondi driving bathers ashore. Over a thousand people were treated for painful slings in temporary hospitals established on the beach. TWO NUGGETS FOUND. SYDNEY, January 17. A wireless from liulolo reports two solid gold nuggets, one weighing 32 and the other 30 ounces, were discovered at Edic Creek. A LIVELY CLASH. SYDNEY, January 17. The Kyoglo shooting was caused by a number of undesirables camping near tin' railway works. This was resented by the workers and resulted in considerable friction, which culminated when a number of men visited the railway camp at night. There was a free fight in which sticks and bricks were freely used, and as the fight proceeded, revolvers wore utilised by both sides. Police were rushed to the scene from Kyoglo and arrested three men. Later they made two more arrests.
