“SANDY”—TO-NIGHT. To-ulglit ;it the Princess Theatre William Fox presents Til on ore Meherin’s world famed novel “Sandy” a story millions have read and now a picture that millions will love. Don’t condemn the modern flapper until you hear her side of the story! There have been scores of motion pictures assailing the morals and behaviour of the daughters of the younger generation. Now Elenore Moherin has risen to their defense in a story that after serial publication in over a hundred newspapers has now.' found its way to the screen as a Fox Film. The picture was brought to the screen under the direction of Harry Beaumont with Madge Bellamy in the title roles. Other favorites too are featured among them being Harrison Ford, Bardson Bard, Gloria Hope, Leslie Fenton and David Torrence.
Sandy was youthful and Sandy was fair, A wild, llaming flapper and sho didn’t care A Jig for the things folks were likely to say— She'd live her own life in her very own way 1 Her folks feared the worst and compelled her to wed A man whom she hated, as she herself said ; A regular caveman, she found him to bo, And often she wished that again she were free. She met, while lamenting her marital lot, A man who was all that her husband was not; His kiss gave her quite an agreeable thrill—- “ Quoth lie, “Let’s elope,” she answered, “I will I” A Topical and Comedy will also ho shown to-night and Miss Williams’ Orchestra will play the incidental music for this big star attraction.
