HANKOW SITUATION

A wireless message from Hankow assorts that press telegrams are being altered before transmission from Hankow by the local nnthorities so as to convey a totally wrong impression. The message adds “The situation remains quiet. Nearly afl the employees of the cotton mills at which the iiot occurred have resumed work. BRITISH NAVAL FORCES. LONDON. Jan. 13. An Army order states: “The China Command has heen now organised as two separate commands, that of .South China, with its headquarters at Hongkong, land that of North C hina with its headquarters at Tientsin."
