TRADE RINGS.
•• Jf nnv request is made to the Government that there should he a full inquiry into trade rings. 1 should support it to the utmost. We should have all the foots known. There are only two ways of breaking a ring. One is by breaking the trust, and the other is by throwing the full blaze of publie opinion upon it. 1 want both, hut the Government can give us the latter. I do not know whether there are trusts, hut the committee appear to have a good deal o! evidence, and all T say is: hot us have the facts out.”—Mr Walter Ttunicmnn in the London “"Daily "News.”
