In addition to freshening up with n coat of paint the Railway Department Buildings arrangements have boon made to (.Humiliate the Parliamentary Buildings, and that line wooden block opnosite, known as the DepartmentLl Buildings, during the stay of their Roval Highnesses in the capital.

A start was made to-day with tho work of wiring the front exterior of the Departmental Buildings. The scheme of lighting effects to lie carried out will he similar to that employed during the visit of the Prince of Wales. Excellent- progress has been made with tbo work of repairing the old wing of the Parliamentary Buildings, and it is expected that a commencement will be made to-morrow with the application of a second coat- of paint. The first coat lias been well absorbed and should net as a good foundation for the second, which will he a mixture of prey and cream to synchronise as nearly as possible with the marble ot the new wing. After the renovation has boon completed wiring for i lumination purposes will be put in band. Other Government- buildings will be decorated with flags. The question of illuminating the Post Office still is under consideration, but it is expected that flags instead of lights will constitute the form of decoration.
