BUCK JONES—TO-NIG111
True to his part in the story, Buck Junes uns the one and only member of the troupe ol cowboys who didn’t get a touch ot mal-dc-iner oji a location trip during the filming of the Fox Films Corporation, “ The Cowboy and the Countess, to he shown at the Princess theatre to-night. This unique Western photoplay deals with the adventures ol a band ot cow boys while touring Kurope—and not the least important ot their experiences happen on the voyage across. So the entire troupe was sent to San I' ranciseo on one of the big ships that ply between California and the Orient. Usually the trip between l.os Angeles and the northern city is a most enjoyable one, for the Pacific virtually lives up to its name and is smooth as glass. lint this particular trip old Father Neptune decided to make the cowboys ride the waves with the result that all except Buck Jones were most decidedly under tin' weather. Of course there were vurous explanations of Buck’s immunity- the real explanation probably lies in the fact that Buck is a navigator of sorts and spends a great deal of his spare time aboard a trim little yacht. “The Cowboy and the Countess” is filled with dramatic as well as humorous situations. There are more than the required number of thrills per reel as the action takes the audience from the West to Fill-one. Jluck Jones is starred in the title role, lie is supported by a particularly well chosen cast which includes Helena D’Algv. Diana Miller. Ilarvey Clark. Jcre Austin and Fletcher Norton. A Topical and comedy will also lie shown. On Thursday a .Master drama cnfitled “The Clean Heart” starring Percy Marniont and Marguerite De Ln •i.otte; and on Friday next Reginald Benny in his very latest: “What Happened to Jones.” Saturday: “Along Came Ruth.”
