The Management Committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council lias been anxious to secure the visit of a foreign team during this season in view ot the projected English tour. Negotiations were entered into with South Australia, hut when they broke down over the terms, the Management Committee approached Mr Hugh Triunble and asked for a Melbourne Cricket Club side with himself a.s manager.
