ARAIIURA FAT STOCK SALE

W. JEFFRIES AND CO.’S REPORT

The first stock sale of the New Year was held at the .above yards yesterday when 45 head of fat cattle and 182 sheep wero submitted to the usual buyers. Competition was good for light weight finished bullocks, some pens equalling 40s per hundred, while heavier sorts were not quite so keenly sought for, owing, no doubt to the very hot weather prevailing. The quality of the girding was excellent, the top price" being recorded for two bullocks from the Poerna Run which made £l4 ami a very prime sucker from Messrs Perry and Co made £6 os. Sheep sold well" and quite equalled Addington rates. Wo sold as follows: — On account of Mr J.
