ZINOVIEV SCANDAL. TUG-A, Nov. 22. Zinoviev’s numerous relatives, whom the deposed Bolshevist Commisnr appointed to important, posts in Petro-{ri-ad, are concerned in a scandal about a ruby which once Formed part of the crown of Catherine IT. of ITussia. Following a report by Soviet experts that the ruby had been replaced by a worthless class imitation, audits of the Cheka (Secret Political Police) are stated to have arrested Zinoviev’s brother, father-in-law, and several cousins. Zinoviev himself is said to be under suspicion. Petropracl newspapers are recallin'! how he removed from the French Embassy at Petroprad valuable and historic furniture and other objects of art. These articles, it was stated, were later found in the bouses of his women friends.
