After hearing the evidence of Frost, (driver of Bell Somerton), Alborn (driver ol Denver Wood), Clark (driver of Ocean Whispers), and tho Patrol Stewards, who were close to the alleged crossing! it was decided to take no action in the matter. An inquiry was held after the last race into the running of Hokioi in the Hurdle race, for interfering with Lord Leslie when coining to the last hurdle. Butler (ruler of Hokioi) said the interference was caused through losing his stirrup when rising for the last jump, and, in consequence, he wits not uhle to control his mount, the stirrup being picked up by the Cleik ol the Course. It was decided to take no further action in the niattei.
