LAW COURTS LOVE DRAMA. PARIS, November 21. A girl barrister’s unrequited love led to dramatic shooting in flic Paris law courts this afternoon. Milo. Juliette, doublet, remarkable for her studious features and her striking beauty, was admitted only recently to the Bar, but already she 'has pleaded successfully in cases ill which affairs of the heart played an important role. She was in one of the corridors waiting for a case to he called when, it is alleged, she drew a small pearl-handled revolver and aimed at her heart. A shot rang out and she collapsed into a group of barristers and witnesses, who included Dr Paul, the famous medicolegal expert. Dr Paul rendered first aid. and Mile. Doublet was taken to the hospital, where, it is stated, she made the following statement: "I shot myself because T was disappointed in love. Afy despair is purely sentimental. I am madly in lote uith a male colleague, hut my love has aroused no reciprocal feeling. The man I love has always been most kind and polite towards me. T have nothing to say against him. Afy story is one of pure romance.” The doctors hope to save her life.
