A COLLISION. AUCKLAND, Jan
A collision between a Royal Blue motor bus full of passengers, bound for Brown Bay, and a steam tram, occurred on the Lake Road Takapuna, about 11 o’clock this morning. Both vehicles wore travelling in the same direction, when one of the tyres of the bus burst causing the driver to swerve across the road over the tramlines. The engine of the tram crashed into the rear or the bus. a portion of which was smashed.
Considering the force of the impact it was surprising that it did not overturn.
One of tho passengers, a boy, sustained a broken collar-bone and two ladies suffered considerably from shock, but nobody was seriously injured. The driver. Hardaker, was thrown out, but regained bis seat while the collide was still in motion.

She will carry 410 passengers who will spend some time in New Zealand. Over 'one hundred of them intended coming through the North Island by Wanganui River, the largest conducted party to go down the river at one time since the .Maori wars. All the pasengers visit Rotorua, land at Auckland on February 21st and at Wellington on February 23rd.
