[BY TELEGRAPH rER PRESS ASSOCIATION.J AUCKLAND ILL. MEETING. AUCKLAND, January 3. The concluding day of the Auckland R.C. Summer Meeting was held in dull weather with light showers in the afternoon. The track was dead. There was a good attendance. The tote takings were £77,822], as compared with £84,019] for the corresponding day last year, making a total of £306,425 for the four days as compared with l 122,780 last year. The results were as follows :
Grey Handicap.—Nucleus 1, Ataroria. 2, Haze 3. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time 1.43. I Sylvia Handicap.—Covent Garden 1, Carinthia 2, Ti Tree 3. Won by a head. Time 1.17 1-5.
Grandstand Handicap.—Scatown I, Mosaic 2, Desert Glow 3. Won by two lengths? Time 2.11 2-5. Auckland Hurdles.-—lvawn 1, Daddy’s Girl 2, Pentagram 3. Won by two lengths. Time 3.40 2-5. 32nd Royal Stakes.—Agrion 1, Gascony 2, Laughing Prince 3. Won by three and a-half lengths. Time 1.15 4-5. Clifford Plate.—Count Cavour 1. Rapine 2. The only starters. Won by six lengths. Time 2.30. Bowen Handicap.—Paperchnse 1, Stormy 2. Deliglitment 3. Won by it length. Time 1.16 2-5.
