THURSDAY, SEPT. 30th. (Before W. Meldnun, Jisq,, S.M.) LICENSING ACT, Police charged It. P. Willetts, with being on licensed premises (Masonic Hotel) while prohibited. Fined 20s and costs 7s. Two men were charged with being on licensed premises (Occidental Hotel), after hours. One appeared and pleaded not guilty. Both were convicted and ordered to pay costs 7s each. A Rimu resident similarly charged (All Nations Hotel, Rimu) was convicted and lined 20s and costs Os. DEFENCE ACT. Defence Office v. Chns W. Fowler, failure to attend parade or notify change of residence. Fined -3s and costs 7s. WANDERING CATTLE. A. Dale, County Roadman,. (Mr Park) v. A. W. Dowell, a charge of allowing a pony to wander on the County road. Fined os and costs 17s Gd. Same v. M. Moynihan, a bay mare, Kokntnln Road. Fined 5s and costs 17s Gd. Borough Inspector (Mr Park) v. Thos. Barrowman, allowing two cows to wander. Fined 20s and costs 17s 6d. Same v. M. Connelly, two cows. Fined 20s and costs 17s Gd. BOROUGH BYE-LAWS. Borough* Inspector (Mr "Park) v. Arthur Robinson, a charge of riding a bicycle oil the footpath in Weld St. Fined 5s and costs 17s’6d. Same v. L. Selby, a charge* of allowing a. motor-car to,stand at night without a light. Fined 5s and costs 17s Gd. Same v. Thos. Hanrahan, a charge of rilling a cycle at night without a light. Fined 5s and csots 17s Gd. Same v. H. Chapman, a charge of riding a ’motor cycle at night without a light. Fined 5s and costs 17s Gd. MAINTENANCE ORDER. Clerk of Court v. R. P. Willetts, disobedience of maintenance order, arrears £215 9s to 19th August. Convicted and sentenced .to one month’s imprisonment, to he suspended on payment of £(> per fortnight, first payment to be made before 7tb October. DEBT CASES. K. McGregor (Mr Murdoch) v. F. McCarthy,. claim £1 18s. Judgment for plaintiff with costs 10s. Annie Haines (Mr Murdoch) v. Win. L.’ Shand, claim £l2 10s. Judgment for plaintiff with costs £2 14s. Warren and Feeney (Mr Elcock) v. Thos. Robinson. Judgment summons £l9 10s. No appearance of defendant. Order made for payment of amount with costs £1 Is forthwith, in default 21 days.
