[by telegraph—per press association. ROSE RETURNS. AVELLINGTON, Sopt. 27. Rose, the runner and his trainer, AlcHolm, returned by the Tahiti. Rose says Harold Osborne, the American allrounder, who has been invited to the Dominion, is really a good man and should do good here. Locke is suggested as a companion for Osborne. He is also a good man. It would l>e difficult to get an athletic team from England outside tne University, as the authorities there do not favour tours.
