[ nY TET.UGRArn I'ER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CYCLE 80-AD RACE. WELLINGTON, Sept. 20. V. Tippett (Taranaki), with a start of 35 minutes, won the Palmerston North to Wellington cycle road race on Saturday. A. Beattie (30 mins, start), of Wellington,-was second: and H. S. Weber (40 mins), of Wellington, third. ADELAIDE, Sept. 20. The annual road race of ninetyeight miles from Kapunch to Adelaide was cycled in bad weather after a hcav'v night’s rain. The riding was slow and resulted.—Oppermen 1. Market 2, MacKadan 3. Oppermen’s time mas five hours thirty-six minutes.
