A sum of £220 in notes made up for hanking, mysteriously disappeared from behind a counter of the Municipal Public offices one day last week. The statement of a cashier is that whilst he wan absent for a moment from the counter where the money lay. a thud was heard in the public office,, and a strange man was found behind the counter, making, off when he was left alone for a moment. Detectives are investigating.
